Masao Shirosaki, Super Monkey Ball producer has been posting clips of Banana Mania gameplay to Twitter since its release. This allows him to reveal many details that aren`t made public in trailers. Super Monkey Ball will have the ability to customize charactersas an Sega trademark.

In a brand new Tweet dedicated to showcasing the new photo mode, Shirosaki presents a Yakuza-themed Monkey Ball. Ai-Ai is seated inside the Monkey Ball with Kiryu, the Yakuza protagonist, tattooed on its back. Ai-Ai has also an official Yakuza shirt to prove that Yakuza representation is present in the game. It`s not as impressive as Kiryu in the Monkey Ball, but it`s still nice to see. The tweet mentions that the items are pre-order exclusives for GEOin addition to Rakuten is getting a Fantasy Zone styled t-shirt and ball. It`s not known if they`ll be distributed worldwide.

On Twitterthe announcement was met with enthusiastic reactions from fans. Many are hoping that it will lead to more items from the game, such as Majima, Saejima and Ichiban’s tattoos. They hope it leads to Sega representation in the game. This isn`t unusual considering that the team was able to get Yakuza in the game.

 

The Twitter post also offers a peek at the game`s photo mode, which is a simple method of stopping the actionwithout much else. Shirosaki tweeted, “I tried to play using my own components. “The dragon is awesome!”

 

 

Yakuza isn`t the only Sega franchise to be included in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania. Sonic and Tails seem to be appearing in the game as playable characters. pictures of the two characters in Monkey Balls were found on the website of the game. The digital deluxe version the game states that it includes old Sega consoles, such as the Dreamcast as customization options.
